DIY MCR MERCH IDEAS

Now that Hot Topic is closed, no one can buy MCR merch there, so you may be struggling to find a way to get mcr clothing. Or, you may want to repurpose some of your old clothing. Have no fear because there are tons of ways to create your own merch.

1. BLEACHING

One way to create your own merch is by bleaching a black t-shirt to make a design. To do this you need

-1 part water

-1 part bleach

-Gloves

-A Spray Bottle

-A Black T-Shirt

-Cardboard Sheet

-Tape

First, you gather material. Then you fill half of your spray bottle with bleach and half with water. If you only fill it with bleach, it will be too strong and may cause holes to form in your shirt. Next, you lay your black t-shirt on a flat surface and put the cardboard sheet in the shirt. After this, you place your tape on your shirt in the shape you want it to be. Then, you spray the bleach onto the t-shirt. Be sure to use gloves and spray the bleach outside. Then you can wait. There is really no set time you should wait for, but the bleach will have more of an effect if you leave it in longer. I would say leave it in for an hour maximum. Then, rinse it out with cold water and put it into the washer. Finally, let it try. Here is how mine came out. You can cut the tape in different shapes to make more intricate designs, but I just used whole pieces of tape.

2. TRANSFER PAPER METHOD

Materials Needed

-Transfer Paper

-Computer

-Printer

-T-Shirt

-Iron

(Different types of transfer paper may require different materials, this is just what is generally needed)

To begin, you get your materials. Then, you look up the picture you want to use. Before printing, put the transfer paper into the printer. After it is printed, place the transfer paper on the t-shirt. Then, follow the directions on the box. Afterward, you should have your own DIY t-shirt.

3. FABRIC PAINT

What you will need

-Fabric Paint (any color)

-Clothing item

-Paint Brush

First, you gather your items. The rest is pretty much up to you, although I do recommend placing water on the area where you are going to paint.
